Oceanic Developments has recently launched a mega project that will refurbish the historic Titanic headquarters into a plush string of luxury apartments. And yes, we do mean the beautiful and iconic ship that sunk to its fate.
Located at 1 Cockspur Street, the development will see seven high-end apartments spring in place of the grandiose headquarters of the White Star Line. The Grade II listed building, will include a luxurious four-bedroom penthouse designed to overlook the Trafalgar square. Each of the apartments will feature marble bathrooms, glittering chandeliers, engineered oak parquet flooring, vaulted ceilings, Poggenpohl kitchens, and high-end artwork. While there will be many additions to the overall décor, the entrance of the building and the ticket office of the cruise line will be preserved in their former state.
The historic grade II listed structure has also been home to names like the Barclays Bank, the Ministry of Defense and, more recently, the Texas Embassy, a restaurant and promotional center for the state. After the unfortunate saga of the Titanic, any little remains of the ship are sold for a golden price, for reasons obvious enough to be stated.
